Structure of the Commission

The structure of the Commission as outlined in the Act 479 comprises the Commis­sion and the Secretariat of the Commission. The Commission is made up of nominated and ex-officio members who are responsible to the President of the Republic of Ghana. The Secretariat consists of professional/technical staff and has been organised into Divisions under the administrative and professional leadership of a Director-General who is also a member of the Commission.

The Commission has executive authority for the efficient organization and management of NDPC. This authority is exercised through the Director-General of the Com­mis­sion, who is responsible for the overall organization and management of administrative and professional functions of the Secretariat, subject to the general direc­tion of the Commission. The Commission cur­rently has four divisions comprising development-policy, plan-co-ordination, moni­toring and evaluation and administration. Each of these divisions is headed by a director.
